Origami Fishing

Part of Come Out & Play San Francisco 2014

Part of Come Out & Play San Francisco 2015

This game is made entirely of origami using recycled paper. I designed some of the folds myself, as a paper artist. I got the other figures from websites. It teaches hand eye coordination. Players invented their own rules, with teams or other players competing for most catches, catching fish together or even in some cases, preventing others from catching fish.. Some fish are harder to catch than others. Folding lessons can be given upon requested. The original version has other sea creatures. It can be enjoyed from age 5 and up. This new version has birds catching the fish with modified peaks. With the old version, fish are caught with fishing poles. I will be presenting both versions as several games can be played simultaneously.
