Code of Conduct

Come Out & Play is dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and harassment-free experience for all players. Attendees are welcome regardless of age, race, ethnicity, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, or religion.

We do not tolerate harassment of festival participants in any form. Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of games or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

The Come Out & Play Festival is a tobacco-free event. No smoking is allowed on festival grounds.

All festival attendees, volunteers, and organizers must adhere to these rules.

Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in harassing behavior, festival organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expelling them from the festival.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a festival volunteer or organizer immediately. We will be happy to help participants contact security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the festival.

We expect all participants to follow these rules throughout the Come Out & Play festival and to help each other have a fun, safe, and positive experience.
