Sandbox is a monthly designing and playtesting event from Come Out and Play SF! It’s like a mix between an open mic and a game jam, specifically for real world games and participatory experiences.
Each month, we pick a theme like “waiting in line” or “at the grocery store,” and anyone can bring a game or experience to test out with the attendees. If you have a work-in-progress and want to try it out, even if it has nothing to do with the theme, you’re welcome to run it at Sandbox and gather feedback. Email us at sandbox@comeoutandplaysf.org to reserve a slot for your game.
We hope to strengthen the community of real world experience designers, and make the design process more transparent and accessible for those who wish to participate. We hope you’ll join us!
