The festival weekend will take place in the Mission District in San Francisco on November 9th and 10th. Join us at Everett Middle School, 11AM-7PM on November 9th for a packed day of games of all shapes and sizes, including several that take you through the streets of San Francisco. Stick around for Journey to the End of the Night, which starts at 6PM at the festival venue (pre-registration required)

Come Out and Play was founded in 2006 to offer the public new ways to enjoy and experience their city through games played in public spaces.  It was the first festival of its kind in the world and remains a leader in identifying trends in public gaming and an inspiration for games festivals worldwide.  Since then, the festival has run annually in New York City. In 2010, the festival expanded to the West Coast alongside one of its co-founders, and in 2013 will present its fourth San Francisco edition as a weekend festival in the Mission. Then, come back on November 10th from 11AM-4PM to the Mission Recreation Center for a day of family friendly games (fun for ALL ages).

We’re also running Sandbox, a monthly playtesting event where designers can test their games and participatory experiences with a ready and willing audience. Find out more about Sandbox events here.
